Amsterdam Plot
The plot of the film revolves around three friends, a doctor (Christian Bale), an attorney (John David Washington), and a nurse (Margot Robbie). They met each other in Amsterdam and form a pact to protect each other “no matter what.”
Amsterdam follows the true story of three friends who witness a murder, become suspects themselves and go on to uncover an outrageous truth. The movie is a blend of fact and fiction about the most shocking secret plots in American history and is set in the 30s.
Taylor Swift plays the character of the daughter of the dead man.
The trio is falsely accused of murder and is forced to seek the truth behind the crime. This murder mystery leads them to meet new dangers and dramas. They also meet a friend (Robert De Niro) of the deceased.
They turned to their various friends for help to search for the answers to the murder mystery. Valerie (Margot Robbie) says that she has to take the reigns as the situation gets more dangerous.
“You’re gonna have to take my lead getting out of this one. I had to stab a guy. I had to hit a lady with a brick one time,” she recalls. “It’s a long story, but with you two, it’ll be a cakewalk.”
The movie seems to be a blend of comedy, with a light-hearted tone balanced against the murder mystery plot. The film development was announced in January 2020. Filming got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2022 the title of the film was revealed.

Amsterdam Trailer was released on July 6,202. Without giving too much away the trailer gave a glimpse of some mystery. The trailer revealed a dead body in a coffin. Chris Rock’s character opens the trailer with the line: “You got a dead white man in a box! Not even a casket! Doesn’t even have a top on it.”
